- 2022 Mach-E Premium 4X, 2022 Lightning Lariat ER
Way too simplified, which is why I agree OP should get prices from all sources.Sure, if you live in the sticks, your local dealer probably can't get as much for your trade. I got offers from everyone and was passing along my experience. OP should get offers from everyone as well.
As for the national dealers, price variance seems to have more to do with their current inventory or financial situation. Vroom has been giving out lowball offers the last 8 months because they paid too much for everyone's beater in 2021.
SE Michigan has an abundance of A/Z Plan purchases. Drives prices down. Dealers can't move used Premium AWD ER cars for $59,999. Yet they sell elsewhere for thousands more. There are over a dozen Ford dealers within less than 15 miles.
Last year Vroom was low for me, yet high for others selling various cars at the time. People on the west coast raved out it. Crap for me. I sold to Carvana last Fall, they beat everyone. Now, with their difficulties, they're down the list quite a bit. Driveway beat all the local dealers, but a dealer 5 hours away beat everyone else.
