Although there are just over 300 drive-ins left in the U.S., we have at least 3 in driving range, so after some family gathering, we decided to go to the drive-in.
No longer do they have those boxes you hang on the window. It's now tuning your FM radio to some frequency. So far so good. Now the lights need to shut off, and that's possible, but do I leave the car on or just accessory mode?
Accessory mode seems like a good idea, but that bright center display and driver's display. Okay the quiet mode is great, but the driver's display can only be turned down so much. So put something over that.
After some time the accessory mode times out and the radio goes dead. Push the start button to off and then on and the lights go on again. It doesn't stay off, and the radio won't come on again.
I only had about 24% battery, so watching a 2 hour movie (we didn't stay for the second movie), what would I have left if I just started the car in travel mode? (in retrospect, I should have done that since not moving doesn't use much additional battery if any. But does that time-out if you don't move?)
So roll down the windows and listen to the audio from the car next to us.
Next time I'll just bring a portable radio with me.
