Hey All,

New problem these last 3-4 days, but it's consistent.

When walking up to my car, when I press the driver side door button nothing happens, it may make a noise but won't open. If I open any other doors by pressing their button the car unlocks and the door opens, and then i am able to open the front door as normal. Likewise if I unlock the car from the fob, the front door works right away.

I thought this was maybe a PAAK issue, so I removed PAAK, problem still persists.

This happens with the key in hand / pocket, the car lights turn on as I approach and the puddle lamps show like normal, just... the front door won't open unless I unlock the car from the key (or touch pad) or open another door first.

Anyone run into this issue?

e: my search ability sucks apparently, thanks to folks in this thread and previous simliar threads I will talk with dealer about getting 21P22 done and hopefully that solves the issue

My brother's car had this very issue. Disconnecting the negative battery cable reset the modules and it worked again.......for a few weeks and then the symptoms reappeared.
He had 21P22 done last week and so far the issue has been resolved.

Same thing started happening to me about a week ago. Only the drivers door. I had 21P22 done about 3 weeks ago. Never had this problem in over a year of ownership.

Each door has a sensor that detects the presence of the fob (phone). It’s possible that one has failed.

While that is possible, an earlier explanation is the early software that caused this exact situation to many people and was fixed with the software in 21P22

Generally agree. I only mention it because of post #4.

Have you had the 21P22 updates done?
If that update is not OTA then no, I haven't. I wasn't issed a notice via the app either (only have windshield - 21C22 and PAAK update 21B36 on the recall notice, was gonna get them both done once dealer had stock for the windshield)

I also notice now that my ability to search isn't that great, since the similar threads have several same problems lol

Your dealer should do the 21P22 updates when you bring it in for those glass recalls. That‘s very likely to fix it.
