Key Fob Not Unlocking Driver's Door

My Key Fob isn't detected by the driver's side door. I've seen some threads on this topic but none with a definitive solution. Is this a known problem and can a dealership fix it? My PAAK software update has been done. Anything else I should check before making an appointment with my dealership?

Every over-the-air update has been done, and the one PAAK software update that required me to bring the car into the shop. Is there a way to check if the 21P22 update has been completed?

It's not an OTA update. Was your car subject to the windshield and roof glass recall?

Yeah, I've gotten a notification about the windshield/roof recall.

Well, when you bring it in for that, they'll do the courtesy update, which was in letter #2 you got 2 months ago in December.

If your dealer is competent, it's not a big deal. Ask them how many cars they've done, and how many windshields have broken and had to be replaced. My dealer did 30+ before I made my appointment a month before the work was done, and only broke previously cracked windshields.

Does the fob work on the passenger door? I’m wondering if your fob battery might be dying.

I’m pretty sure the problem is not the key fob battery. I have the same issue and replacing the fob battery has not solved things. Unfortunately I’m not eligible for the 21P22 update, so I haven’t found a solution.

My brother's car is doing this. The work around is he has to open the rear door first and then the front will open. He should probably schedule a dealer visit for this issue.

My car is doing this now. Paak was working perfectly, until one day it did not unlock my driver's door anymore.

I now carry my key fob again, but it does not unlock my driver's door either when pushing the circle button with the key fob in my pocket. But it does unlock other doors.

I wonder what changed, I did not do any update when things changed.

Mine just started doing this as well. Worked perfectly until a few days ago and now I have to hit unlock on the fob every time.

Can you open another first, and will the drivers door open after? If that works, disconnecting the 12v battery might fix it.

Do a hard reset by disconnecting the 12 volt battery for a minute or so.
