I got expected by many of us "Driver Facing Camera Fault" message on Sunday and had to make my return leg of road trip without BC. I called James Ford at Half Moon Bay, CA jamesford.com on Monday (today) and was invited to bring car as soon as I can. I brought car about 10 a.m. and it was ready by 4:30 p.m. As expected it required software update for camera module. I was very pleased with speed and service, but..... @Ford Motor Company why it's not covered by extended warranty or Ford? I had to pay $285 out of packet for software that was broken by Software Update that was pushed by Ford. There was no hardware failure, it's a known fact that this error caused by one of OTA's (it's clear bug in code). Yes, my Pony has 38K+ miles, but I have 84/125,000 Premium care EV plan. My service advisor apologized that his request to Ford Corporate to cover cost of Software update was denied. @Ford Motor Company , please correct me if I'm wrong, but if Ford developers will do another bug that will damage another software part than I had to pay out of packet again?! sound like unfair business practice.
