Driver Profile Issues Happening Again

Hello, All ---- Recently, I've started having problems with the seat and mirrors not adjusting to my profile when starting my 2021 MME Premium . This happens about half the time, and I can fix this using the profile door button when it occurs, so the stored profile is working. My wife is having the same problem with her profile, but for her, she must always use the door profile button to correct the issue before driving.

I have an FDRS rig and have kept my car completely up to date. I remember an update previously that was to address this problem, and it resolved it previously, but now, the problem seems to have returned. As of this morning, I have no outstanding updates in FDRS.

Am I missing something? Any ideas on how to resolve this? TIA!

That was a DSM update you were talking about from a few years ago.

The best and easiest thing to do is to simply delete the profiles and start over. It really only takes a few minutes, and is very likely what you're going to end up doing anyway.

Thanks very much for the offer, but honestly, I don't have any confidence in my local dealer based on actual experience with them. I've found that with many relatively minor things, such as this issue and software updates, I have much more success with the DIY approach supported by this excellent forum.

There is no longer my picture on the profile selected, it does not remember that I want 1pedal. I was hoping the most recent update would've fix it but nope, which makes me think I need to take it in. Any insights from your experience?

Yes, I fixed it by following an earlier suggestion in this thread to delete the profile and recreate it. In my case, that resolved the issue.

I had this issue a few years back.

The workaround was to make the “guest profile” a duplicate of yours.

That way when it defaults to guest, it doesn’t really matter.
