First off, sorry if this is a repeat thread but I haven't been here in a minute or two.
The Drivers display for the first gen Premium! Im not sure what update it was that Ford pushed out a few months ago, but they changed the way the information is displayed in various driving modes and I DONT like it.
I use the Engaged drive mode for various reasons and was fine with the layout on the DD (drivers display)up until they replaced the battery SOC indicator to the least informative version (the most-of-the-width-of-the-screen bar).
Sorry I like to see the digital representation of my SOC, i can tell instantly if I have enough charg to drive 60 odd miles to my other properties and now instead of a quick glance at the DD I now have to **** around to find that information and I dont like having to do that. Its distracting!
2 Solutions that can fix this.
1, just put the battety percentage in the bar.
2, (this is what I think most drivers would like) let the driver select how the information is displayed and how much is displayed.
For me I would like to be able to see live battery charge and discharge rates. Current power consumption.
You know, the information that every other manufacturer has on their DD.
If ford has reservations about alienating potential new customers, set it up with noobie/advanced user interface.
AND FOR CYING OUT LOUD GIVE US THE OPPTION TO MANUALLY PRECONDITION THE BATTERY FOR CHARGING!!!
You know, like most other manufacturers out there!
Im about ready to tell the wife to go get herself a new EV and I'll take her I4 M50!
