Drivers Side Mirror Clicking Noise When Unfolding

Hi,

I have my 2021 Mach-E set up to fold its side mirrors closed when I lock the car. Every morning when I unlock the car, the drivers side mirror unfolds in a glitchy, interrupted fashion. Conversely, the passenger side mirror unfolds in a smooth and even fashion.

When I made a warranty claim at the Ford dealership, after looking at the car they said they found no issue and they compared this to their in store models and their cars do the same thing! I don't remember seeing this issue when I purchased the car.

What I'd like to know is if anyone else notices a smoothness difference in unfolding their left/right side mirrors, and is it likely this is a factory feature?

Mine operates in the same way you described most of the time. I asked a dealer to check it and according to the service advisor, the tech could not replicate any issue. ?

That's what the dealership told me as well, that they couldn't find an issue with it. I can almost hear the gears in the mirror louder than I can on the right.

Our 2021 does this also, but our 2023 does not! Both are premium awd extended, maybe we are not dreaming!

I just spoke with Ford support over the phone. They said they will be looking into it and will get back to me on if this is a normal feature.

Mine does the same thing, but have not brought it up. I figure if it fails I will bring it up otherwise remain calm and carry on...
