I have a 2021 Premium EXT AWD on which I installed the Eibach Pro Kit E10-35-054-04-22. I soon after detected a shudder on mid+ acceleration. I thought it was due to the wheels being cut, but that’s been ruled out.

The vehicle is in the dealer and they alluded that the dropped suspension could be the culprit and that it could void the warranty . Has anyone else who’s done this mod encountered issues with wear on your vehicle axles? I understand geometry is changed, but didn’t think it would be anything dramatic enough to cause accelerated wear.

I had that exact pro kit on my '21 GTPE for about a year and 15K miles. Never had issues. I would reach out to Eibach and see if they have heard of this. Not that something like this isn't possible but like I've said before, I've seen dealers try to blame anything they can to get out of warranty work.

my old volvo c70 was on a ford focus platform. i lowered it moderately with eibach pro-kit springs (and bilstein shocks, eibach sway bars) and it was awesome. sporty but still comfortable and much better than the boaty stock suspension for this heavy car.

but i did need new cv axles within about a year, so i do think lowering does put the axles at a different angle that can increase risks of wear and tear.

some cv axles are also just junk (the whole , "they don't make it like they used to..."). my car was well out of warranty so i didn't have a dealer blame it on lowering. it could've just been worn cv axles from age but the lowering put them over the top. the cv axles weren't too expensive to replace (my shop sourced aftermarket ones). there's some folks who had the original ones re-built, re-booted. the cv axle's rubber boots can sometimes fall apart prematurely, especially if the car is parked outside in extremes of weather, so parking indoors if you can, or occasionally treat the rubber boots with 303 is a good idea.

I think the big question is when did you lower it? Early on in the vehicles life or 50k later?

Imo, lowering I think puts less stress on them as they are more inline but if they were wore in at an angle, and then you change that ride angle, I can see them failing prematurely.

It has less than 1000 miles on the springs. Mileage on the car is at ~29,500. I reached out to Eibach this morning and they stated that they've not heard of any issues with axleshafts failing with their kits on them.

Are you the og owner?

If not, you never know how it was driven before. IMO, most likely just accelerated a already hurt part as 1000 miles, I doubt the lowering kit did anything that quickly.

So the only other unknown is if the installer damaged or over extended the cv when installing the kit. Honestly, past that, that’s all I got.
