Electricity rates are extremely high in Europe so petrol/gas cars can be cheaper to drive than inefficient EVs.

This was a brilliant and fairly scientific YouTube video on efficiency + range + costs.

maybe... maybe not. removing subsidies results in a ~20% increase in the cost of a new EV.

Subsidies increase new car sales while at the same time depressing the value of used EVs.
Good point.

Also, if they start to cut the new car supply down by stopping production on some models, due to a more limited supply that may cause those that are left up a tick.

I guess we will soon see.
