What the OP mention, actually happens to me quite a bit, but only on downhills; on flat ground or uphills, the drag is normal and what you'd usually expect for 'Engaged'.
But let me take advantage of this question to ask another relevant one in this context. My question is, how many of you, when going downhill with no danger around, use the dial to shift into N (Neutral) to 'turn off' the regeneration and braking, letting the car coast for a good while before shifting back into D (Drive)? Iāve never heard of anyone else having this habit, and I don't even know if it could do any harm to the car?!
