First DIY Detail.

What to do when you have Easter day off and you’re not particularly religious... try a DIY detail.
Fordee being black made it super easy to see micro scratches and swirls in the paint. So I decided I was going to do a minor paint correction. Spent the day washing, claying, compounding, polishing, and adding a diy ceramic coat. Just finished. Fordee is now a black mirror.
Work tomorrow and then some more personalization on Tuesday. Hopefully.

Saw where someone else had posted about how well their TurtleWax detail product was holding up after a week. AND I was washing my car today….

So I thought I, too, would post an update. This is the car that I used The Last Coat 2 home ceramic coating on. I think it is still holding up great. It’s been through the automatic wash a couple times but since then has been 2-bucket washed with Griot’s Garage Ceramic Wash and Coat about once a week. Shine and mirror finish is still holding strong (pardon my ugly reflection but it was the best way to show the finish).

The water also still beads exceptionally well. Can almost dry it off with your hand by pushing the beads off.

So there you go. 3 months in and I still recommend The Last Coat 2… in case you were wondering.
