Morning all,

Just had my stang in for its first service and the key recall, and found out in just over a year and half the rear tires are due replacement. She's only done 15k so I wondered how it is if I have a very heavy foot or if anyone else has seen it chew the rears fast.

I have an ER RWD and I had to replace my rears about the same mileage so probably about average.

Mine is extended range RWD 2021, and original tires went 48,000 miles. At 15,000 miles, my tires had been rotated twice. Either you do have a heavy right foot, or your alignment is way off. How is it that you hadn’t noticed the excessive wear prior to taking the car in for service?

The wear was in the inside, and as we don't rotate tires in the UK as a rule, i had no reason to check, and yep, i do have an enthusiastic driving foot. Plus the British tarmac, especially around where i live is far rougher adding to the tire wear.

Got my tyres rotated at 13500 miles at the first service and think they may need replacing next year when the car is due its MOT test

I've done 21k on original tyres and still got 4mm left. I still quite enjoy the feeling of planting my right foot every now and then.
Suspect it being AWD helps?

I've got 23,000 miles and it looks like another 10,000 before replacing.

AWD - 51k miles and I think now I may need to change them, as they’ve hit the little dent thing.

You most likely have a problem. I got about 48,000 miles out of a set of tires, I drive hard & fast.
I was on my 3rd set when I traded my car in for a Tesla.
I currently have 41,000 miles on the Tesla and still have the factory tires.
