Well, my car is officially 2 years old...(Well, more than that, but 2 years since registered) so has just been for it's first service at a main dealer.

A video of the underside of my car, and a pollen filter replacement....all for the princely sum of £198!

What a rip off.....

Thank goodness it's not due again for another 2 years. License to print money....

That's about what I paid. Don't forget, you have the MOT to do before your next service.

I normally don't keep a car for 3 years, but perhaps that may change.

I've been looking at trading the Mustang for a Genisis GV60, but the PCP is just stupid, and the Mustang is now only valued at £30K with only 6000 miles on it.

Worlds gone to s**t

Just under 2 years and mine had the first service at 18,500 miles before they extended the servicing to 2 years unlimited, a mini service/check at c42,000miles and then it’s 2nd service plus brake fluid change at 58,000 miles just before 2 years old simply because I’m not happy servicing a car every 2 years which would be 60,000 miles apart for me!

So servicing in 2 yrs cost me c£400, plus tyres of course, and a couple of 4-wheel alignment checks to aid range. I’m happy with that.

At least when they did mine last year, they washed it as well

I wouldn't let a dealer anywhere near mine to wash it. Still perfect with no scratches from washing it myself. Some stone chips from the deteriorating road surfaces though. :(

This car loves stone, it's a magnet... I've got a black and the white shows up beautifully from each chip, it's almost an artistic effect. And the joy of the bigger stones chipping the windscreen, I've 2 lovely cracks in mine and a stone chip, so another new screen.... when it gets into stock.

I'm booked in for my 2 year service next week, also fix the rear wash wipe (maybe just a fuse but there's no way I'm going there!) and a new screen and the strange noises I now get (running water and recently a strange whine that sounds like a demonic possession) and the red car symbol with an arrow, next to the service symbol that since it's been showing has reduced the acceleration... and with so many updates coming through, it'll be like a new car...
