Fixing number plates

Hi all, got my new awd er, I Always like my number plates stuck on, hate to see screws, I've had problems in the past with some cars but got there in the end. This one is not having any of it, I've isopropol'ed the mounting tried three different types of mounting pads but within the hour off pops the front plate, rear one seems to have stuck.
Anyone else had the problem ?

This was worked fo the last month on mine -
VELCRO Brand VEL-EC60241 Heavy Duty Stick On Tape 50 mm x 1 m
