You can turn down the power on the Ford Charge Station Pro using a switch inside the housing. Check your instruction manual (heaven forbid). There's no sense having it set at 80 if you are only charging a Mach E. It will work more reliably at a lower setting. Turning down that internal switch should get ride of your amber light issue.
I have a Lightning capable of 80A so i leave it set for that. My Mach-E charges fine without changing the setting. The amber light isn’t really an issue, it simply indicates reduced charge rate.

When I first installed it, I turned it down in the app just out of curiosity, and it was really finicky about going back to 80 so I haven’t touched it since!

Lots of folks with the FCSP and the early-model ER Lightnings turn the internal switch down to 72A. You get almost as much power and no amber light issues and related software glitching. However, you may need the full 80A for your situation.

I rarely do, but it’s nice to know it’s there if I need it. In fact, my normal strategy is to use the FCSP on the Mach-E and the 48A Ford Connected Charge Station on the truck.

There was a firmware update to fix those early derating issues. I can charge at the full 80A without issues.

Good to know. Thanks.
