I’ve seen suggestions that companies should install dedicated 120V outlets in employee parking areas as an inexpensive way to offer EV charging. Each outlet needs its own circuit but it’s a LOT cheaper than installing L2 charging and would provide a full commute’s charge to more than half of your employees (4 mi x 8h = 32 mi round-trip).
They are crazy to expect their employers to pay to fuel their cars.

Some companies (including who I work for actually) offer charging in the interests of "being green" and encouraging EV adoption by employees. Others allow use of outside outlets for that reason.

Same at my office. We now have three free plugs available. We calculate it costs us about the same as coffee service for the staff. Small price to pay.

I attached my mobile charger to my wall since at home the difference between 50 amp and 32 amp, in my opinion, is not worth the cost. At home, how long it takes to charge is not important.

But when traveling, who would want to charge at 110v? I will leave the MME home where there is no charging available. My other vehicle is a Honda Accord Hybrid that gets 47 mpg.
I was using the mobile charger at home and planned to just throw it into the car if I took a long trip. I left for a trip from CO to OK, and after 100 miles or so realized I forgot to put it back in the car! After a little sweat, I realized I probably wouldn’t need it, and did the trip just fine, getting down to 6% at one point when rolling into a DC charging station. After that, I bought a Grizzl-e charger, and now I keep the mobile charger in the car all the time just in case!

With credits from utility company and fed tax credits, cost isn’t that much to install and buy a wall charger but in reality not needed by many people.

the only reason to charge at 110 v while away is if you must. probably just a security blanket most times but I would have it in the car , just in case, but of course I don’t have my car yet
