No argument from me on that. It does show both a map and a list though.
I wasn't able to use map to pick a charger. It allowed to pick the charger from the list only.

The overall design and features of the navigation I find to be superior to Google maps in many ways.

I like the "ding only" option for navigation sound.

I like the simple and clear design and colors

I like that at a glance you can see what city you're in, what road you're on, and your altitude.

I like how the roads are labeled (small arow with the street name above it)

I like the road sign navigation notifications

I really like how it shows you which lane you can be in and which one you should be in (solid blue is the lane you should merge to, outlined blue is also optional lane) this is far superior to Google and causes way less confusion when driving on complicated freeways you're unfamiliar with.

I like that when you really zoom in it shows the lanes of the road/freeway

I like how it shows your chargers and landmarks nearby with the blue icons on the map.

There's a few other features that I find superior to other apps as well.

The search function is absolute trash and unreliable. I think it's both a database and search algorithm issue. It seems to be missing a lot of things and it's also terrible at trying to predict the right location when not spelled/voiced as the exact name in the database.
The actual voice recognition is pretty bad as well. I speak slow and very clearly to it and it still isn't accurate.
After you say "take me to x" it's annoying how it says "choose a selection" and then continues to listen to you, it shouldn't continue to listen, I'm often talking to my passenger about which location to go to.
That and it should show you the map and a list of the options and their locations on the map (as it does when you type in the map search bar)

When it comes to the actual navigation part, it's inferior to Google maps in almost every way.

As you say sometimes it'll take you to said location, only for it to actually take you a few blocks away or around the corner of the actual location, and then Google maps will take you to the correct location.

I've also found that you can't really trust it to take you the fastest/ best route. It has taken me on a horrible route in the past or has shown me a bad route, only for me to check Google maps and show a better/ faster route. Like ford will show 1hr drive and Google will be 45mins
100% agree! Yes hoping Ford can figure out this new fangled GPS and take you to where you want to go. It is hard to know over the river and through the woods to grandmother"s house.

Just head over that-a-way for a bit, turn at the big tree, and drive there yonder for 10 or 20 minutes.

That would be better than Ford nav. Might actually get me where I want to go!

Yes, that’s true also. They’re numbered on the map and in the list. Pick the corresponding number from the map on the list.

In mind it just decides for itself and it sets up destinations by itself when I get in the car in the mornings and starts telling me to go places even though there is no place that I have set for to go it sets the navigation it's some kind of bug where it thinks it's taking me back to my house even though I'm at my house and I use none of the other features as I use Apple CarPlay I don't trust anybody afford stuff as far as charging stations or anything like that so I don't know why this system continually wants to nag me saying that it wants to take me to my house when I'm there. Weird problem.

I used it when I first got the car. Works pretty decent. The only times I had problems is when I was going to new house developments so all the streets were pretty new. Apple maps couldn’t handle it either and I had to use google maps.

the Ford map is way behind on a new 24. my new development has been up since late 2021 and still streets not on the latest ford map.
That’s a bit odd as I believe all of this was taken over by Garmin a while back and they’re usually more on the ball. But who knows how often they push the updates to Ford and then the wait for Ford to push to us. 3 years is a bit excessive though.

I charge in my garage when I am in my garage. However I have not found how to charge in my garage when more than 500 or miles away.
Have you tried a really really long extension cord?

I'm sorry I couldn't resist... left that door wide open.
