Hi Everyone,
I have been using SatNavs from their conception but really struggle with the pathetic offering in my Mach E. Unless, of course, there is a secret input language that I have yet to learn. Ford made a big deal some time ago about tie-ups with Tesla to use the Supercharger network. Here in the U.K. Tesla have designated some Supercharger locations available to all EV’s. Ford also quotes that if you enter a charger location into the SatNav it will pre-condition the battery en-route. Unfortunately, I find it hit and miss in finding Tesla Superchargers ( the best and cheapest charging network in the UK.). I wonder if there is a special protocol of how to search and find them. For example, I am trying to input the Tesla Supercharger at Reading on the Westbound M4. No chance. Google maps, Apple Maps, ABRP etc, all find it but not Ford. Does anyone else struggle with this SatNav?

CP and AA are updated much more often than the Connected Navs are.

For the Ford Navs, updates are done to the full map yearly and "home zone" quarterly while service is active.

Thanks. That explains why the package is so poor.

Just to clarify - Connected Navigation is set up differently between North America and Europe when it comes to Tesla Superchargers - the Tesla integration is North America only. In Europe, Connected Navigation will continue to hide Tesla Superchargers.

Sorry but that is not true. I regularly input Tesla Superchargers into the Ford Navigation and get the vehicle to pre-condition. It is just that not all sites seem to be found by the software. This is not a new site either.

To be extra clear, what I was saying was the full integration of all compatible Supercharger locations is limited to North America. The formal agreement between Ford and Tesla applies only to North America.

In Europe, it's expected that the data will be partial.

2024 Mach-E GT
Hello everyone. New here but have been lurking for awhile and appreciate anyone's help in advance as we are planning our first long road trip and haven't been able to find the specific answer I'm looking for.

I have a 2024 Mach-E. What I'm trying to figure out is why the Tesla network isn't an option in its Connected Navigation app. I have read mixed opinions why and seeking clarity.

Is there a way to get the Tesla network to be an option in Connected Navigation?

And maybe to preempt some questions:

1) This capability exists in newer Ford models and has at least been rolled out to ā€˜some’ pre-2025 models, apparently in a phased rollout.

2) I definitely do not have this update as the ā€œadaptor requiredā€ toggle does not show up in the routing window after typing in the address and before selecting ā€œGo.ā€

3) I do have the latest SYNC software and updates installed. I have auto-updates enabled and there are no pending updates to be installed.

I guess ultimately my questions are whether there is any way to be pushed this update or is it something the dealer can install? Or are there any other workarounds?

Thank you and appreciate any help or advice,

Brian
