So I picked up my Mach e a few weeks ago and I loved it, it is amazing but I had to go through ford options with them many times. They price protected which was great and said they do ford options but then when it came to the numbers they said oh we only do 36 and 39 month balloon leases. I told them it was wrong and run the smart Vincent again for it with these options thanks to the forum. They apologized for not knowing, but then they had to run price protection and said I qualified for 3.7 interest rate and 1000 dollar incentive. I had an 805 score and it seemed high for an October price protection. Did they mess up the price protection on options when they reran the numbers? They were super flustered figuring out options for me.

They also forgot apply X plan and had to have me come back in but that’s another problem entirely. Is there anyway to verify what the price protected rate and incentives were now 3.5 weeks after purchase. Can they tack on points in options?

Salespeople at many dealers, even those that do a lot of Ford Options contracts, still think the program is a form of lease! Fortunately, the finance managers generally know better, but not always. I suspect it's because Ford Options has some elements in common with leases, such as the ability to return the car. But it's clearly a sale, not a lease.

It sounds as if you should get price protection, X-Plan pricing, and the Ford Options interest rates and rebate that were in force on the date you ordered the car. That's a lot for the dealership to handle, but if you insist on these things, they should be able to deliver.

Not sure whether the dealer can add points to the interest rates in Ford Options like they can on other types of financing, but I imagine they can. You're wise to stay vigilant and ask them not to add any points to the interest rates offered by Ford Credit.

Yes, they can tack points on Ford Options. Only promotional rates and Ford A/Z plan don't have that risk.

Ford Options is a purchase that can be paid off. Since 06/15/22 Ford no longer offers MME leases with buyouts. They can only be turned in at the end, or maybe traded against another lease.
