I just had a charger installed a few days ago. Left the car plugged in overnight for the first time. It only needed around 5%, but wanted to test it. I set scheduled hours, plugged it in when I got home (around 6pm). Set charging hours to 11pm - 7am.

unplugged this morning and checked the logs…

As you can see, it says it started charging before I plugged it in. It started charging at 11, on schedule. I got the notification around 11:25pm when it finished. Then you can see it says it charged for 5+ hours. Also, when I checked this morning (while it was still plugged in, it said it had charged 48kWh, which it very obviously did not.

Overall, just tons of bugs and poor/missing charging information. Anyone else have this issue? If so, a fix?

I’m not even sure the best way to submit a bug report for FordPass.

I’m running FordPass 3.27.0 on iOS.

See if it happens again before worrying about it.

The charge info is not accurate for me either. Some things are correct, some are just way off.

FordPass is the poster child for poorly executed software. I have been programming computers professionally for 41 years, and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the buggiest commercial software I have ever used, when you consider the large number of issues and the small number of features.
Some of this I attribute to the MME being in the first model year, but Ford should still be ashamed of this train wreck of an app. Maybe it works better for other models and just did not adapt well for the MME?
So far, none of the bugs have stopped the car from working for me, even the terrible PaaK reliability is easily avoided by carrying the fob. Hopefully Ford is getting the message that people are seriously angry about these issues and it is costing them sales, as EV buyers today tend to be pretty savvy and do their research.

I don’t want this to turn into a complaining thread, BUT I agree with you. I’ve been developing software and data driven predictive models for 10 years (not quite 41 ;) ) and all I could think of this morning was: embarrassing. it’s an embarrassing execution of a massive opportunity.

What you alluded to is I post things here (outside of being the best knowledge base for the car and a great community). I want Ford to have visibility into these (embarrassing) issues. There is no obvious feedback mechanism or bug report system (except in the car) and I know they monitor these forums.

Either way, happy to know I’m not alone in the bug. The one that really got me easy saying that it had charged 48 kWh when it had maybe pulled 4.

I certainly hope it didn’t pull 48!!

I haven’t! I wasn’t sure the protocol on that. Didn’t want to raise something like this if it was going to clog up “more important stuff”

If you think I should, I’d be happy to!

I think it is probably the most effective method of submitting feedback.

I’m neither a 10 year or 41 year programmer. But I too have issues with Ford Pass. An example. I’m down to 32% charge. I set the charging to come on at 11:00pm and charge to 85%. The next morning, I’m charged to 100%.
On an unrelated item that might be related to programming, I randomly get a “front camera collusion avoidance failed” I hit ok and usually within 5 minutes it working. this usually happens but not always my first drive after charging. Anyone have this?
