I noticed today that my preferred charge time settings were deleted when my FordPass app recently updated. If you are using the preferred charging time feature to save money on your electric bill, I'd recommend that you double-check that your settings remain intact.

1PD sometimes is also reset by OTA’s.

You sure you didn't get an OTA update? My FordPass update didn't delete mine but the OTA for the battery connector recall did
This is what likely happened. Location settings are in the car. While the app can update them, they are stored in the vehicle.

Mind got deleted by the recall update and I haven’t been able to add it back yet. They did that in a weird way. It should just let you add your current location and be done with it. How long does it take to populate the location?

Minutes.

1) Charge for a few minutes.
2) Unplug.
3) On the car, go into Charging and you will see the location, which you can now convert to Home. App does it also, but may not sync up. Save location as Home, set preferred charging hours (not "charged when plugged in".

Done.

My issue is a bit different but I hope you can help. Planning my first road trip so decided to try a public charger for the first time, in advance of the trip. Used an EV Go for a few minutes, saw that it was charging at a reasonable speed to use on a road trip. Uplugged, went home and plugged in to the charger in my garage. It started charging but when I checked a few minutes later, it had stopped charging.

I checked settings in the Ford App and the car and it is set to charge when plugged in. The light comes on in the little circle, showing there's power. In the app it says "you can only resume charge at the charge station."

Seems like I did something wrong but don't know what. Can anybody help out a senior citizen?

Same here. Got the OTA update for the recall. Woke up in the morning and battery was charged all the way up to 100%. Upon checking, all of my preferred locations (my weekend house, etc.) where I normally charge have been deleted.

Your issue likely is totally different.

First, EVGo chargers are problematic.
Second, EA chargers give you 250 free kWh when using FordPass or Ford Plug and Charge.

Third, when unplugging from a level 3 / DC charger without pushing the button in the ring next to the charging port. Always push the button and wait a few seconds for a level 3 / DC charging session to end.

As to the problem you're having now, are the lights on the charging indicator any color (red, blue, nothing)? Are there lights on the charger on the wall?

Yeah I’ve tried that a few times. It still hasn’t shown up since updating on Friday. I have a Juicebox that I had never set up the time of use in so I’m just using that until the car figures it out again. I dunno why they make it so complicated.

Same thing happened to us after dealer did the 22S41 safety recall. Also can not turn on Auto Hold. We get a Hill Start Malfunction warning. If we use one pedal mode car seems like brakes are on when stopped on a hill. In regular 2 pedal mode we roll back when stopped on a hill. Think it may be a bug in the software?
