I see this advertised in available apps which I’ve installed on my phone and Mach-E, however, it doesn’t seem to work. Is it still in some kind of testing phase or is Ford just teasing Mach-E owners with the idea of being able to utilize our giant tablets to watch videos while we wait to fast charge?

That’s what an iPad is for. An iPad has a much higher resolution screen with a larger color gamut than the screen in the Mustang Mach E. Also, an iPad can be displayed in landscape mode ?

The width of the Mach-E screen is approximately 8.6 inches, when displaying 16:9 videos the diagonal size is approximately 9.9 inches. While the difference is not insignificant over phone screens in the 6"-7" range, when people complain about not being able to watch video on the center screen they have 15.5" in mind. Personally I prefer to watch videos on my 6"+ phone screen and just use my vehicle's sound system for audio.

Apple and 3rd parties offer a variety of covers and cases that will serve as stands for your iPad.

I hear you, and that’s a valid solution. However, I’d like to think I could use my large display to watch videos. And I don’t think it’s unreasonable to not want to introduce another piece of equipment in the mix if it wasn’t necessary. But hey if you’re cool with always bringing an iPad with you then more power to you. ??

Tbh, watching movies/videos in the car isn’t that big a deal for me. If I must urgently watch something, I’ll probably just watch on my phone. Otherwise, I’ll wait until I can get someplace to watch more comfortably on a proper setup.

It would be a nice time killer while charging, especially if you're stuck at a slower DCFC. Having the built-in screen do it is easier and more convenient than having to have a tablet handy, charged, and propped in a comfortable-to-view position.

The thing is it doesn't really take much effort for Ford to do. They already have the connectivity required (either the built-in modem or wifi from a phone acting as a hotspot) and the rendering plugins likely already exist for whatever browser is built into sync4. Add a requirement that the car be in park and you've addressed the safety issue.

Still waiting for this... The Mach-E is listed compatible in the app. Please for do something about it and stop working on the fu... Tic Tac Toe and the useless Sketch pad!
