They say Ford has a huge inventory right now. That may be one of the reasons of the big price cuts.

When I order my 22 Mach I first wanted a Taurus or a fusion. But of course they don't make those cars anymore. So then I started looking at the edge and the escape. But when I looked at the price to get what I wanted. I noticed it was not that far from the Mach-E with the $7,500 tax back. What made me want the Mach-E wasn't the EV part. Never drove one and didn't know about the instant power. But now that I have a Mach-E I really like the instant power.

What caught my attention was the blue cruise. I like gadgets and I thought this is cool self-driving. Now when I bought the car I order the package with BC. I thought if you bought the package you would always have BC. Didn't know it was a subscription. At first I thought it was 3 years for $600. Figure, guess that's not too bad. But then found out it's now going to cost $800 a year.

Now if I would have known that from the beginning I would have never bought a Mach-E. I have demo the BC to friends who love it. Then they talk about they may have to get a Mach-E. Until they find out the price. Too many other options now on EV to pay that price or just buy an ICE. ICE don't have BC but then again after my 3 years are up neither will my Mach-E. I think the price of the BC is hurting sales too. I know I would have bought something else if I knew what I no now. Before I thought my Mach-E was special with BC. But in 3 years it will not be special. The most important gadget of the car will be gone.

What do other think? Would you have bought something different if you knew the price to keep BC? Would you get an ICE or what other EV would you buy?

I’m not happy about any subscription based car features. But I have a feeling I’ll pay for BC once my free subscription ends. I use it enough. Wish it was a bit cheaper. I wonder if they will lower the price if a bunch of people stop paying for it.

I don't use it that much at all. Retired so don't travel that much anymore. I just like it as a neat gadget. Plus people always want to see it work. If had to do it over I would go with GM super Cruise since cheaper $25 a month. Unless Ford goes back to 3 years for $600. But the way the Mack-E has depreciated in value I guess I'll keep it just without the Blue Cruise.

You know if you want them to lower the price, it's prolly better to say you'll not get it at the current price. ?

Approaching very old, I intend to use all ADAS available. I think it is OK for Ford to consider Blue Cruise a subscription service. But think it should be something closer to $50 a month. Also, why isn't Ford adding 5 or 6 thousand miles a month to it's BC? The implied agreement with a service is that it remains up to date. Get with it, Ford.

If I travel a lot or had roads around town that were included i might pay $20 a month. But even that not really worth it around here. it's not that hard to just drive yourself. Or hands on.
