A friend has a 22, I believe, and none of the sprayers spray. The reservoir is full, but nothing.

I told him to look at the hose leaving the reservoir to make sure it's connected.

What else can he do to rule out the pump, or not? He's out of warranty.

Thank you

Park it somewhere dry and activate the sprayer for 20-30 seconds. Check for a puddle underneath the car. A puddle means that the pump is working, but a hose is disconnected. Can he hear the motor running when the sprayer is activated? If no sound and no puddle, is the fuse OK?

On a similar note, last month front sprayer wouldn't work, rear worked fine. No low fluid annunciator/warning. Was pretty sure I had filled it somewhat recently. Multiple attempts at troubleshooting it after google searches, still not working.
Had wife bring it in to Ford service (couldn't drive post surgery) and low and behold it was low fluid. Every time I troubleshot it I ran the rear (with fluid freely coming out) also and still never got a low fluid warning.
I found out through this process there is only one pump for both front and rear....only thing I can think of is the the hose that pulls fluid for the rear is located lower in the reservoir than the front. From an engineering perspective it makes no sense as you should design the back to fail first since it is less important but apparently that must be how it is designed.

It’s disconnected / broken / blocked hose. Look for a puddle to help determine the location. Reconnect / replace.
Only thing is there’s no “it” if both front & rears aren’t spraying, it’s ”them”.

Therefore, the commonality in terms of causation must be reservoir/feed to both motors (has dirt/grime got into reservoir blocking things up), electrical supply which appears to have been ruled out if motors are whirring or there’s two entirely separate faults, one in each system, that developed coincidentally at same time if they failed together which seems unlikely or occurred at different times.

It’s a back-to-basics old-school lateral thinking diagnosis that’s required.

Agreed, also troubleshoot back to the reservoir.

I have an issue where my rear sprayer takes forever to spray. I have to engage the sprayer on and off for a good few minutes or more before it starts to dribble out. My guess is air is getting into the line somewhere. I've never noticed a puddle or leak anywhere.

I've taken it to the dealer twice for this issue and they tell me it works as intended.🤷‍♂️

They’re bull shitting you.

Not sure if ours has one but some cars have a one way valve in the line to stop water feeding back to reservoir, again it’s an old-school diagnosis thing of which not every body or dealer is capable, following the pipework etc.

Good luck.

My thoughts exactly.

They must eventually get it to spray a little and call it good. They certainly can't be bothered to track down the reason the fluid immediately drains out of the line.

I might pop some panels and take a look myself one of these days. Just figured I'd have the dealer take care of it since it's under warranty.

That’s being redundant. In fact, everything not right in this thread after the first use of “dealership” is repetitive. There are some good dealers and even some exceptional ones, but they're an exception. Given your location, your experiences may or may not vary.

An UPDATE
Brought to you by...Valvoline Motor Oil "Perfect for my mach E"

He did not find any leaks or squirts, and he hears the pump engaging. So the fuse is fine.

Can he check for a blockage somewhere? Where can he start to work his way back from the reservoir? Where is the pump?

Thank you
