My front camera pre collision has been giving faults for a long time, but they have been intermittent. Lately it’s been happening more. There is a TSB for it but I’m just over 3 years so warranty won’t cover it. I’ve read it probably was damaged during windshield recall. Why wouldn’t Ford cover that? Makes no sense if it was caused by the dealer!

Mine had that problem and it wasn't due to a windshield replacement since I never had mine replaced. It was the manufacturing issues...the coax cable was too tight, which they replaced and the IPMA (I think that's right...the module in the back) was replaced. I was lucky to have an extended warranty that covered it, but it took a couple of weeks for Ford to approve it under warranty, which was fairly annoyingly slow, IMHO.

You can try repositioning the cable inside of the cover. That has helped many people. It didn’t in my case so I went to the dealer. They replaced two cables according to the work order. ??

My camera totally failed after being intermittent. I have it at the dealer for this and 4 recalls, including the HVB contactors. I got an extended warranty just for these types of issues.

My car spent 3 weeks at the dealership, in the notes it said they overlayed new coax cable and cut both ends of the old cable and the pre collision no longer comes up, but when I was literally speeding up to the light at 30 mph behind a car I hit the brakes myself with no interaction from the car. Only when it’s on cruise control does it seem to slow down on its own. Is anybody having this same results.
