Greetings from icy western Virginia! After seeing an error about collision detection not being available and trying to clean the assorted cameras / sensors, I saw that there was actual damage. It was then that I learned my wife apparently pulled in too close to an ice/snow bank and damaged the front end. I read in a different thread where someone recommended taking it to a Ford Certified Collision center. Unfortunately, the closest one to us is 76 miles away in Roanoke.
My local Ford dealer (Paul Obaugh Ford in Staunton) has a collision center, but apparently hasn't gone through the certification process. How necessary is the certification for something like this? I've been trying to interpret parts diagrams, but it looks like this may just be replacing the shutter assembly and recalibrating the radar, assuming the radar itself was undamaged.
