Got in the MME today for a doctors appointment and found my front usb ports don’t work. My radar detector (USB-A) and the USB-C port aren’t working. Everything else in the car works, even the rear USB ports. Haven’t checked the fuse yet. Damn!

So after my doctors appointment, got in the car, started it up and everything worked fine again. Very weird. Gonna have to keep an eye on this.

Plug your phone in with a known good data synch cable and see if AA or CarPlay function. ??

I meant to turn off wireless CP and plug in to see if wired works. If that works your USB ports are good and you likely have another problem. ??

I’ll try that but being the radar detector and wraps wireless charger aren’t working and both are plugged into the usb ports I’m thinking it’s either a fuse issue or port issue

If that happens again, try a Sync reset. I haven't had a problem with the USB ports not charging devices, but when Sync does a reset, the power on those ports will cycle off and on.

Happened to me once. The dash cam was off and I got a notification on the screen saying something like 'inserted USB device not working properly'. Did a Sync reset and it's working again. It could be very dangerous if the dash cam was not working without noticing...

I don't think the dash cam not working would be dangerous. the dash cam has nothing to do with any of the systems like lane keeping etc. the dash cam just records your driving and is an added accessory. mine is the FITCAMX which is integrated into the area behind the mirror and is powered off the rain sensing for the wipers so no plug in to the USB ports. My radar detector and after market wireless charger weren't working and that's how I found out the USB ports were dead. after my appointment I started the car up and all was fine, but I will keep an eye on it.
