Driving on the motorway, and a large piece of tyre was flying towards me. I could not switch lanes, or stop (obviously). The piece of tyre slammed into the front of my GTPE.
Front left side vent, broken, and the cover for access to the 12v battery doesn't sit flush anymore.

Honestly, I am not looking forward to dealing with the dealership on this issue.
While the car is at the dealership, I will ask them to resolve the seat belt recall, too...

Last night on my way to work, the car in front of me hit something or something fell off their car and it flew up and hit my driver side vents. Missing two pieces now.

it’s crazy how much that assembly is from ford.

insurance is gonna be fun.

Yeah, it seems that the designers didn't think that in the ICE cars with air control shutters the shutters are protected by the grille. Now they put these flimsy shutters on BEVs without protection and even though it's a low incidence of damage, the times they are damaged it's expensive due to little Design for Service having been applied in the creation of the car. ??

Honestly, I would not be surprised if Ford told me that the entire front end needs to be replaced! ?
I can hear it now, "We don't sell just the louvers, and clips..." ?‍♂

So.....$3K to fix the front vent, and passenger side sensor.
Oh, and I probably won't get my car back till 27th / 28th May.

Latest update. Are you ready for this? I am just going to leave this right here...

As per Ford, to align my sensors, a "sunny day" is needed. I am in Georgia, and it is expected to rain all week. So, we wait...
