Quick question for other GT(PE) owners with front license plates mounted (yeah, all five of us): does your car hit an audible resonance at about 40-50 mph? Mine does. You can feel it through the steering wheel. I went for a week without the front plate mount and never heard a sound from it until after it went on…

Haven’t heard anything like that. And both my MMEs have front plates.

I wonder if it isn’t something to do with how the ā€˜grill’ is shaped. There’s a gap between the plate mount and the nose of the car, big enough to get a microfiber towel into (pic below):

Maybe that gap is part of why my car is singing to me…

Could be whatever that orange thing is. I don’t have that.

Just realizing @AmbiguousPresentation may have ambiguously presented their cyber-yellow GT-PE. And that the weird looking arrange part might be the color of their car in some poor lighting. First time I’ve ever noted cyber-orange to actually look orange.

You’re right, it’s probably because of the color contrast with the plate mount in the cyber orange GTPE. First the affectionate fruit flies, and now musical license plates. I’d better watch out for the dancing woodland creatures, and stay the heck away from Disneyland.

Yeah, it’s under fluorescent lights in my garage. Also at a weird angle to try to capture the space between the top of the mount and the black ā€˜grill’ on the right (which is reflecting the plate mount, etc). Is that gap standard?
