Frunk and Trunk Opened by Themselves

My Mach e was in the garage and I could’t open my garage because the frunk and trunk was open and blokket to enter the garage .

The frunk can be opened electronically but it only pops open a couple of cm. It doesn't have a motorized lift system.

Do you mean the tailgate was open?

There is some past threads on this. Has happened to us once in the 11 months of ownership. Possibly a 2nd time, but I don’t recall for sure. The first time was not good. We had our puppies in the back and they could have jumped and ran straight in to traffic. Was not fun at all. Wife yelling at me as if I did it.

I had an odd situation some time back that caused the frunk to pop (As if you had pulled the manual release a single time). It happened to me twice after the car had been sitting unused for awhile. Nothing since then though and never an issue with the liftgate in the rear.

Opened as in you could lift the hood up or open just a bit? Neither are normal though.

The accidental opening of the rear trunk can be caused by the combination of these two factors : the key or PAAK is within reach of the vehicle and an animal or a moving object passes under the rear bumper and activates the hands-free opening. This happened to me twice.

This happened to me too. The trunk opened by itself three or four times while I was around with my PAAK and once when I was driving out of a parking at low speed. Once only the frunk popped.
Now when I park in the city I am always afraid that it can open by itself while going away and I won't notice it.

Consider disabling hands-free opening.

How about the frunk ? It was open (popup) by itself too. this is a software issue , because I just got frunk update.I have sent the vehicle information to Ford and am waiting for a response. This has happened to many owners.
