Took a Lightning trip a month ago, opened the Mach-E hood, hooked up my Battery Tender. Came home 10 days later, unplugged and closed it. Yesterday I went to open it and ask I lifted it I could feel something was different. Let go, it closed. It appears struts have failed. Can't say that I've seen that posted.

I would guess one of them is defective? Mine are still extremely stiff and the actual hood isn't that heavy compared to a back hatch lid.

I would guess one of them is bad (defective) and the other is good. Your car is not that old so that would be my guess?

In any event, I don't think they are that expensive and I would guess not that hard to install.

Time to get them replaced under warranty.
