yes, the frunk-popper bumper leads will ONLY work if LVB is too dead to energize the door locks to open the doors. I hope you have set/memorized the 'manual' door code to get into the cabin if you lose or damage your phone/fob?

if the LVB is indeed dead you are going to need a 'jump' from a running vehicle for a good 15 minutes to get enough energy into the LVB to get it's voltage up high enough to restore functionality to 'start' the MME at which point the HV should take over the task of charging the LVB. So stashing a pack of AA batteries under the bumper is probably a waste of time since there would be a vehicle there already to give you a jump.... after you remove the beauty panel(s) to gain access to the jump points.
Or, a jump pack might work fine too, we disagree on this one.

I suppose it matters why the LVB went dead.... if the HV failed to maintain it when sleeping you might just need a little jump to get the MME to turn ON, but if it failed to maintain from HV to LVB when ON, then you'd need to get enough energy in with the jump to get you to the nearest Service

Well at that point you would just be running off of the “jump” battery if the onboard chargers isn’t working. Jump pack in the frunk would work just fine if the leads are long enough lol (lithium jump pack would probably time out though)

I’ve been wondering if the super capacitor jump packs would have enough capacity to boot the vehicle up. Lithium packs are nice but they go to sh!t after one or two years.

We have run this jump pack at our shop for over a year. It has plenty of power.
