Get your dealer to update your car.
Funny thing is that my dealer did this for me by accident. Then a PowerUp killed it again. Now it is back due to another PowerUp that deleted my personal B-pillar door code. Thank goodness the factory code still worked!

Still no control for it on the Sync screen or FordPass app.

@Ford Motor Company: This has been promised to us since late 2020. How about delivering a fully functional frunk to Job 1 buyers in 2023?

And?

You’ve made us well aware that your car had a remote frunk release and BlueCruise from delivery. Good for you, it’s a job 2 car without this “limitation.”But half of the NA allotment of 2021s came with neither. The dividing line was always easy to find — July 2021. The failure to deliver those features to job 1 cars at launch was understandable: there was a regulatory issue and software issues. Two years later, one of those features is still undelivered.

Those without the frunk release are actually quite glad later cars came with them. We also don’t presume that just because our cars have park assist, all cars must have them.

Don't sue ford - they may take away your frunk button ?

Seriously, what is the build date of your vehicle. If it's earlier than June 2021, you have a unicorn and should keep your mouth shut (see above ?)

Did I put December 22, I meant December 21 LOL I got the car on feb 25, 2022
If your car was built in December 2021 then, you appear to have a very late MY21 Job 2 vehicle. MY21 Job 2 vehicles do have a frunk release in FordPass.

I have a Job 1, May 2021 build. I brought it in for service today and gave them the 3 step update listed in this thread. They came back and said there is no electrical going to the frunk so no updates can get me frunk opening from the number door panel or screen. Are they just uninformed?

Go back, pop open the frunk, and put it in drive. The warning messages should tell them there's "wiring" present.
