Hi Folks, excuse my stupid question. I've been trying to figure out how to get google maps to suggest stops for EV charging, but am unable to do it. The Ford routing app obviously can, but I can find no way to do it outside of the car. Also will the ford routing app in the car (or outside if someone can tell me how to do it) automatically include Tesla chargers that are capable of charging the MachE?

Thanks, and I apologize in advance if this has been asked and answered a million times. Searches seemed to show people using a few different approaches - Google maps to get a route, then plugshare or the like to get chargers. Rather a simply method. In addition, the Ford app will have you arrive at a charging station with 10% charge - I am just not comfortable doing that.

I don’t know about Google maps but you can plan a route in Apple Maps with chargers as long as you tell it that you’re driving electric.
You can’t preplan a route and load it into the car’s nav With FordPass. You can search for chargers with FP including Tesla’s that are compatible. You can also do that with the onboard Public Charging app (now, with a new OTA, while driving). You can’t use the onboard nav to find Tesla chargers requiring an adapter; it only has Tesla SC’s with Magic Dock.

ok, so finding TESLA chargers that will take the NACS adapter is still on me ... I guess I should not expect miracles ...

Yeah, it’s kind of a futz right now. The integration of the Tesla chargers into the nav app is overdo, IMHO.

Have you tried https://abetterrouteplanner.com/ ? It's a good first step in planning a trip and finding charging stations on the way. Then use google map to navigate to them
