You know you can lock the vehicle with the Fob (or phone) inside. You just push the 7-8 and 9-0 buttons together. Then when you come back, punch in your pin to open. Am I missing something?

So you are keeping your Fob in the car all the time in a faraday box. Ok, but my note above still applies, locking the car without a faraday box, while your fob is still inside. My wife and I both have fobs to the mach-e. I use PAAK, however, but she uses the fob, and always carries it with her. As for valet parking, you give the valet your fob, like you would any car. They give it back when it's time to go. Of course I would have to remember to bring my fob for that event, or ask my wife for hers. If I kept a fob in the car, my wife would just need to punch in the pin for access. Again, not sure the reason or expense for a faraday box(?), but, to each his own.
Yes, if you want to fiddle with locking the car manually every time you walk away, you can.

When I was in my teens, I worked at a batting cages and had a co-worker that worked as a valet as a second job. He would tell me stories. One of the stories was him and the other guys working a particular night, whoever stole the least from the cars they were parking had to pay for dinner for the group. So, I can count on one hand how many times I've used a valet in the subsequent 40 or so years.
My use case is, 3-4 times a week I go down to the beach to surf or skate. I click the "lock" button on the FOB, throw the FOB into a faraday pouch, throw the pouch into the trunk, close the trunk and the Mach self-arms. When I get back, I use the pillar keypad to unlock the vehicle. Has worked flawlessly for 3+ years.
When the mach-e was a brand new thing on this island, and mine was less than 3 weeks old, I parked it up front at one of the resorts because i knew they’d leave it on display there. Dashed in to pick up some paperwork and it never moved. It still hasn't been valet parked.

I think this comment is under-rated. Very simple, cheap, and good idea.
