Looking at the following was wondering what a good price would be in a “real world” not looking to pay above and beyond

“all electric 2021 mustang Mach e premium with extended range package. Also interior protection package and has clear coat package. Plastic on all screens and glove compartment still, low mileage, never seen snow or salt and in mint condition with all original parts.

4600 miles”

Unfortunately these seem like real world prices for a used one.

And it’s way more than the original owner paid after tax credit.

I paid $61k for my fully loaded 2021 GTPE (after X plan and tax credit).

Yes. If you read the OP, it mentions a 2021 model year. Hard to believe a dealer would still have a new 2021 on the lot, so used is assumed.

The mentioning of plastic on screens is most probably screen protectors.

I’m assuming it’s used too.

I’m saying it’s “unfortunate” for the OP that the market rate for a used car is more than the new car.

OP, could you just pay some $10k ADM and get the tax credit and that's a better deal? 2022 models tend to have less issues with OTA fixes, etc...as well and you can own new instead.

I see some local places have marked up NEW models and even with the ADM that you can probably negotiate down, it seems better than that car you posted.

At least that's what I'd do if I 'really' was in a rush to buy.

Unless there is absolutely nothing in MI, but there seems to be on-lot cars in CA now.

This. Buying a used one over msrp without the tax credit doesn't make any sense. Hell, even if you manage to find one at msrp, you've already paid $7500 more. Factor in depreciation for being a second owner with a 2021, less range, and high voltage recalls and you're going to be out even more.
