Took a short trip Monday. 80degF outside. High SoC. 40-45 mph roads. Going up 15% grade got the bars (which happen every single trip I take for a variable period of time). This time the car was literally decelerating while I was flooring it. This is so frustrating. I'm not ever going max power. I don't hammer corners. I was simply trying to go up a hill in a high performance car. Took to dealer on Thursday. They said there was an update I needed (why can't that be OTA???) It didn't fix the problem. On the way to work the past three nights.... bars. Significant bars and significant power limitation. The technician at the dealer does not seem to have a clue. Ford is unresponsive. Looking for help!!

Your car has engaged turtle mode and power is significantly restricted in this mode. It's the equivalent to a check engine light. My car went into turtle mode during my stop safely now issues. Definitely take it back to the dealership ASAP. This could be the beginning of something more serious.

The only time i got that many bars was after quickcharging. I presume that the battery was to hot. After 15 minutes all was fine again

UPDATE: Car was in three times in the past few months. I was being told nothing was wrong (because no codes are generated during events -- even the events that precipitate "creep mode" (turtle icon)).

I drove with a technician last Tuesday, within a mile from leaving dealership, significant power loss going up slight grade at 45mph. ~ 20bars. After this occurred, I looked at the tech and told him "I'm going to hammer it now"... and nothing happened. Just kept going up the hill at around 45mph. It seems like Ford finally realized the extreme circumstances of my vehicle (why me?? :-() Anyway, they don't have any idea. "Ford Field Engineer" coming today to local dealer to check. They're guessing at this point.

high note: dealer did give me Lightning to borrow.

Makes it worth the hassle, almost. Seriously, if I could hand the GT over for however long it takes to swap out the heebyjeeby thing and get a Lightning as a loaner, I'd do it.

I think we all would gladly take an F150 Lightning as a loaner for the HVBJB to be replaced. ??

I had the bars appear one time...and it was odd.

I went to my office and plugged into a charger. I was expecting to stay there for an hour, but only stayed for less than 4 minutes. FordPass never acknowledged that I plugged it in (first time that happened).

When I drove the car, I had many bars (did not count them), but I noticed a lack of power before noticing the bars.

I got to my destination and let the car sit for about 2 hours and then the car drove normally.

I had never felt a reduction of power before with the car before or since. I figured it was some glitch with a short charge.

Yes, definitely can notice a reduction moments before bars appear. Happened to me, to varying but very notable degrees, every single time I drove the vehicle since purchase.

Hello there. Could you please send over a private message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are working with? I would like to take a closer look into your Mach-E's performance issues.
