Weird cause I haven’t charged in four days, level 2 at my house. Never seen 12 bars before. Charging it now will see where the bars are at in a few. Added my VIN to the post above. ☝?
We ran your VIN and there's no HVBJB issue reported by the car. Unless it's a constant recurring issue that can't be attributed to anything then I would chalk it up as another MME GT quirk. Since you said that you hadn't charged in a few days could it be because of low SOC? As your SOC drops below 70% it will start to accumulate bars. 30% for example, will have a lot of bars.

Well I was at 29% state of charge when I left the house. 19% at work… and 6% when I got home. Strange that would produce jail bars methinks.
HAHAHA ... there's your answer!

That low SOC will cause a ton of jail bars. Your car is fine.

On a side note, try to avoid letting the car get that low. Aside from all the people who will cry "omg it's bad for the battery", under 12% SOC and the car won't maintain the LVB and if you have things like a dashcam or anything that could draw power (IPC/APIM issues) it could prevent the car from starting if the LVB gets under ~12V.

Yup that’s definitely why you have jail bars. The lower the pack is the more you get. Pack can’t produce as much power when it’s low.

I ALWAYS had 8-10 jail bars when when I started my GT, regardless of temperature. They would go away after a few minutes.
