That's still skinny for a vehicle of this size with weight. Was hoping to get at least 265 on there.
a 285/35 is way to wide of a tire to function properly on an 8 inch wheel. From what I've gathered, the widest tire you can fit on the stock GTPE wheels without any rubbing or clearance issues is a 285/35/19. Of course, it's always a good idea to do your own research and double-check before making any changes to your car's setup. One thing to keep in mind is that wider tires may affect your car's handling and performance, so it's important to find a balance that works for you. Speaking of aftermarket wheels, I recently picked up a set from https://www.corwheels.com/ and couldn't be happier with them. Their selection and quality are top-notch, and I'd highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market for new wheels.
A 19” tire on a 20” wheel is already an interference issue (since the GT and GT-PE wheels are 20x8J). ??.From what I've gathered, the widest tire you can fit on the stock GTPE wheels without any rubbing or clearance issues is a 285/35/19.
