I am wondering if I merely changed the temperature level (which turns off Auto), and thus somehow the following morning it is off
Changing the temperature doesn't turn off Auto. If it's on Auto when you turn the car off, it should still be on Auto when you turn it back on. If not, something's not working right.

Hmm, I need to check the next time I am in the car...

Separate point: I am not a fan of a touch screen for adjusting the temperature. Sometimes it does not acknowledge, and sometimes too many presses are recognized. Same with the fan speed. But, that one I think I am only just getting used to it, hardly ever used it.

I read in the manual today that you can set the heated seats to auto, based on the temperature settings. Alas, having my temps at 72-74, seems to have the seats come on, if auto is set. To me, no need at that level. But, at 76 and up, yep, lets get those buns warm - LOL

You realize you can touch the screen just once, then rotate the knob?

WHAT? Why didn't you tell me this ages ago?

PS: No, seriously, thanks!

Note: So, the knob, like me, has multiple uses, depending on what was selected. Got it; I thought it was purely volume/on & off...

If you have the camera button in the top row of the screen, you have the update.
Nothing in the release notes spelled out these changes. I haven’t looked at the latest manual for it. It’s Ford that needs to do better, not you.

...yes, I recall seeing the camera button. I remember testing it, when I first saw the icon appear.

From time to time, I get in my MachE GTPE, and start it. After doing so, I notice the heating/air conditioning is off.
Now, considering how cold it is in Georgia at the moment, to me the heat should be on, no?

Why is it not, automatically? Thanks
Hey, circatee! I can take a closer look into your HVAC shutoff concerns if you'd like. Can you send us a PM with your VIN and the dealership name/location? To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation".

I am in Georgia and would as well.

Cold in Georgia is a day that doesn't get out of the 40's.
It was 33 here this morning in WNC so I used my preconditioning setting for the first time last night. I LOVE this feature! Especially since our basic Select didn’t come with heated seats! (I assumed a modern car costing as much as this MME last February would have naturally included heated seats - my bad!). But the preconditioning works great so I barely notice the loss of heated seats.

But I might buy some after market seat warmers anyway. Sometimes you just need that extra comfort!
