Does the radio still work? Can you get it into AM/FM mode?
Must be tuned to that source in order to enter Bezel Diagnostics (according to the manual....)
No, the radio was on. But then the screen went black. I tried to get it to come back on. Eventually I shut it all down and let it sit for 10. When I went back it still wouldn't turn on and the radio is no longer playing.

Not a great way to experience... I wonder the dealer will do something to fix?
I hope the dealer can figure out a way to fix it! I mean these cars are brand new to dealers too, so they may not have a quick easy fix either.

UGH! I hope they don't blame me for some kind of damage!

I was so wary to take the car overnight but I couldn't say no when the dealer offered!!

Did you pair your phone to the vehicle? If so, open the app and go to diagnostic or notices or anyplace that looks like there might be alerts or messages. See if that app shows you the 12v battery voltage.
(suspecting the load shed feature may have activated....)

I did pair my phone as a phone, trying to get Android Auto to work, but I don't have the Ford app or anything like that.

Is the vehicle charging right now?
I wouldn't start pulling fuses or removing stuff.
I did see a note about a feature where the screen shuts off if it overheats. Maybe just let it cool overnight and then see what it does in the morning.

Worst case, just take it back to the dealer and let them figure it out. Don't make it worse by exploring too much.

I 100% agree. I had a look at the fuse box, but I don't feel comfortable pulling anything, so I'm just going to leave it.

Also, by "look at the fuse box" I mean I found where it is, looked at it, went "yup that's it" and walked away. Lol. I did try opening it, but when I couldn't figure it out I stopped.

My worst nightmare is causing damage to this brand new beautiful MME that is not even mine.

I'll definitely report back tomorrow if the dealer is able to fix it.

I did get to drive it for a while, and I played around with some options. I was really hoping to get to do a deep-dive overnight of all the settings and functions, but oh well. Save something for the wedding night, ya know?

This was my first time driving the Premium and I really enjoyed it. Just recently I also test drove a Select AWD, and while it's the same vehicle, the difference in trim level from the Select to the Premium, the driving characteristics, and the glass roof all make a world of difference. I actually didn't like the Select when I test drove it as it felt too basic and underwhelming, but I REALLY like the interior feel of the Premium. The seat material is much better (imo) in the Premium. The glass roof just changes the entire feel of the vehicle. And although I'm sure it's all in my head, the feel of driving the Premium was just...smoother, more responsive, faster.

I really really like this car.

Okay. Was worth a try. I think you have tried all the simple things.

Good idea. You've tried all the easy stuff. Might just be something with a dimmer setting or possibly overheated but you said the reverse screen works so that probably isn't it.

Make sure you take all our belongings out of the car while you are still able to get inside. (Just in case it has to be towed back to the dealership in the morning....)

One good thing, you verified for us the car is still largely useable without the screen.
That's good!

Yeah at first I was like "OH NO literally everything is controlled through the screen!"

But yeah, the car still drives, which is nice. Everything seemed to work still. I even tested adaptive cruise control, and it still worked. Which I guess makes sense given that they're all separate modules and are largely independent.

Why would you put this out into the universe as a thing that could happen?!?!

Thank you; you have now ensured I will get no sleep tonight.

Here are pics of what it looks like black, and then in reverse with the backup cam functioning. (It's very red because it's in my garage with the door down.)
