When I turned off my mme tonight I noticed lots of extra warning beeping and kind of ignored. Now that it's dark, I notice my exterior lights are on?? Started and drove around the block to reprogram? And no luck. Lights are still on.

Ignoring warning lights isn't ideal...

Rotate headlight knob to off, then to auto.

They were beeps, not lights. They're we're just more than normal. I'll try that thanks.

Ok. They went out on their own. Very weird.

It’s the “your headlights are still ON” beep. Sometimes the car forgets it’s lights are in auto. They should time out eventually but I haven’t tried it.

They just timed out. You didn’t fix it unless you rotate the headlight switch back to auto.

known common bug. It will happen again.

Strange this same thing happened to me today after happening about 3 months ago and then being fine. My passenger side mirror points to the ground unexpectedly as another symptom. I thought this bug was long gone after 3 months, but now I will have to pay attention to it when i walk away. I also had a large number of the Ford "beeps" playing when I got out at my destination and ignored them.

Yes. Thank goodness this forum helped me. I turned lights to off then back to auto and so far so good.
