They committed the same sin as just about every other publication.... They failed to note that you can charge at home, drive nearly 300 miles and do it again and again and again without ever stopping at a public charger.

In reading the article I'd assume I have to install an expensive piece of electronics or hunt for a charger to drive it.

...and ....ICE engine will not be "verboten" by 2030.

They also neglected to note that the included charger is a combo L1/L2 unit and that if you plug it into a 40A 240V circuit it functions just like any L2 charger.

Not much depth to the article regarding how it drives, various features, etc.

In the almost 3 years I owned my Bolt, I only ever charged at home with the 110v charger and never used a public charger. I think my first use of a public charger was with my Mach-E on my last couple of road trips. The 30 miles or so I get overnight charging more than meets my typical daily needs (especially now since I'm still WFH, but even when I'm back at the office in Sept, it'll still be fine).

Though I do understand it's a lot different for people who live in apartments or places where they can't park near an outlet and stay plugged in. But in my case, for things besides road trips, I have never had the need for anything more than L1 charging.
