Hidden gem drives in SoCal?

I’ve driven on several of the known nice roads in the Orange County area (Live Oak canyon, Santiago canyon, Silverado canyon, Ortega) and I’m looking for some other hidden gems. I’ve been meaning to head up Azusa to take 39. What other recommendations are there?

In the same area near hwy39 & East Fork in Azusa is Glendora Mountain Road. Fun jaunt in the MME between Mt Baldy and Glendora.

Highway 76 east out of Pala Mesa out to Highway 79 over to S2 (San Felipe Road) which takes you to the Montezuma Valley Road (S-22) over to Anza Borrego is a great drive. Head back towards Escondido on the 78 with a stop in Julian for some Apple Pie!

Ah I was just looking around for this exact topic. I will definitely need a break from my relatives next week while visiting SoCal with my GTPE.

I've never driven on the Angeles Crest Highway before, and we're staying in Pasadena, so it seems like I need to juice up and do this first at minimum. I'm going to also be near Diamond Bar -- anything interesting to squeal my tires on around there? Thanks!

Pala Mountain off 15 South, take 76 East. This will lead to Pala State Park with beautiful views and a chance to take some nice twisties
