Just a note that there have been a number of posts here that the Ford Mobile Charged (FMC) functions just fine for a while, but seems to error out after a number of repeated L2 charging events. The FMC is physically much smaller than most other 32A EVSEs. Conjecture is that after time the FMC damages itself internally because it isn’t able to dissipate enough heat. This damage happens slowly over time. It seems just fine for occasional use. ??
Yeah, mine started overheating on 120V charging, which is ridiculous.

I have never even plugged mine in. Kind of afraid to. ??

Ambient temperature seems to make a big difference. If it is warm or hot, it overheats pretty quickly. Maybe I can disassemble it and install a fan or something. ?

Or add some heat sinks. If you can do a thermal survey you can probably pinpoint where offending components. ??

I've been using 120v as I'm planning to move and don't need to be anywhere. Last night it quit charging and I saw yellow and red in the display as I rebooted it. Seems to be working now, 1900km on the clock.
