I also have the Chargepoint Home Flex, took the $1000 cash instead of the Ford charger install to put towards it...stricktly due to the fact that my electrical supplier offers free nightly EV charging, and there were only 2 units that were compatible with their plan (the Chargepoint and another unit, which got horrible reviews online...

Had my electrician hardwire it into a 50amp breaker and install it outside in the driveway.
No complaints so far! It's a fairly simple unit but so far super reliable and easy to use, just pull in the driveway each night and plug it in (target charge and preferred charge times (for free charging) are set in the vehicle.) My electrician said it's probably the MOST common unit that they install.

Hi all. I just bought a ā€˜25 MME AWD Select. I am now learning about what is needed for home charging. I have the opportunity to buy someone’s Ford Charging Station Pro for $200. It looks like almost everyone here is doing a Tesla univ or ChargePoint. Can anyone weigh in on whether or not it’s a good deal or should I invest in one of the others?

For $200 you can’t go wrong. If it is functional, then it will be just fine. I have one of those as my primary charging station for both my Mach E and Lightning. If you getting the Pro it will need a 100amp circuit breaker and wiring to handle at least 60amps of charging. Also to consider, the receptacle looks like a CCS receptacle.
You will need to tie it to your WiFi in order to find the Siemens network for the latest updates. Make sure you get the manual and the password in order to register it. Good luck.

Thanks! I didn’t know about the Wi-Fi process. My house has a 100amp cb with room to spare. I’m calling electricians tomorrow. My garage isn’t grounded properly so the trickle charger that came with the car doesn’t work yet.

I believe you can set it up for less than 100A circuit. There is an internal switch that needs to be set by the installer.

I am using my Enphase (formerly Clipper Creek) HCS-40. It is a solid unit, but make sure you have some distance between your garage and your living quarters, else you will get to hear it every time the car calls for power.
