Hood scanning light strip

Did this today, wired it up to the jump start positive and body grounded it. This is the one from Amazon that turns off automatically and I’m finding that it turns off about 15 seconds after I power down the car. I love the look it gives. Scans from side to side when I start the car then is solid on while driving. Only real issue is that I have to slam the frunk/hood to close it.

That is a nice effect. Do you have a link to the Amazon part number and any photos of how you wired it up? I haven’t yet had to learn the dark arts of the electrical connections under the frunk liner… Thanks for any help!

only took about 30 minutes and only reason it took that long was I kept repositioning the strip to get the best light effect

only issue Ive found is that when charging the MME the light strip does turn on, but it goes off when the charging is complete. guess it just shows that the 12v is also getting some charge when the MME is plugged in.
