HOV sticker missing?

I received my registration card today, inside the envelope was the "Clean Air Vehicle Decal Certificate" but there were no stickers inside. Will the stickers come in a separate mailing?

The envelope was not sealed, I don't think anyone opened it, it looks like it was not sealed from the point of mailing. I hope the stickers didn't fall out.

I bought the car on 5/31, the registration says date issued 7/14 and I just got the registration today 7/28.

They should have been in that envelope. You might have to apply for replacement stickers... I hope that's not the case but part of me thinks that's the only way. At least you have your registration and certificate, which is better than driving with nothing and allows you get a CAV toll tag. If anything, call USPS to see if it is in your mail persons box?

Mine came with all the paperwork (certificate) and the replacement stickers.

They're a matched set. The number on the certificate matches all four stickers. At least you can give the number to the postperson to ID which stickers are exactly yours.

You can get the FasTrak CAV transponder with just a scan of the certificate. I'm unsure how that plays out with replacement stickers.

? I bet the DMV didn't seal the envelope and it fell out or they just forgot to put it into begin with. I filed a research form with USPS but I don't have any hope they will find it, last time I filed a research request, I found the package myself by going to the neighbor down the street with the same house number.

I'm guessing it'll be another 3 months before I get the replacements but I'll get the CAV FasTrak in the mean time. It doesn't really matter much for me since SR237 is 3+ now but I usually only have 2 and 2 is 50% off regardless of CAV.

I called DMV and they said it should be in the envelope. The USPS couldn't find it (no surprise). I was told to file a REG 1000 form and select "Never Received" and fill out a REG 256 form and explain what happened. They said I don't need to pay the replacement fee but it'll take another 4 weeks at least after they receive the paperwork.

I already got the CAV FasTrak so that's probably good enough anyways.

Yep, all you needed was the certificate for that, so you're good! Even if you got pulled over (which is rare) for being in the HOV lane, you will probably be fine with your certificate and an explanation of what happened.

I had the same issue! My envelope was sealed as well.

The "Special Processing Division" agent said they haven't heard of many people with this issue but I wonder how many people would sit there on the phone 2 times for 45 minutes. I haven't sent in the forms yet, I probably will but I likely won't be placing the stickers since I don't gain any benefit. (we always have 2 people in the car and that's 50% either way).

I called up DMV (916-657-8035) today. They said that they sent the stickers and they can be in a different mail from registration and certificate. And I should call them again if I don't receive in 3 weeks.

Call tomorrow. That seems wrong because almost everyone has had theirs come in together because they are serialized and the certificate number will match the sticker number - they don't just grab them out of a pile...

That's the same number i called "Special Processing Unit". My registration card was issued 7/14/21, post marked on 7/23/21. I haven't received anything else so far. It may 3 weeks before I get around to sending the replacement paperwork so we'll see but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm on the same boat. I dont really expect to receive in a separate mail., and stickers don't add much value for me.
Certificate is good enough to apply for Fastrak CAV toll tag.

Do you automatically get a CAV sticker in the mail after buying a new EV car (Mach-E)? I’m ready to send the paperwork and the $22 fee, but wasn’t aware it may just come with the registration. Can someone advise? Thank you!

My dealer (Ford Store Morgan Hill) sent the paperwork the day we bought the car. I didn't have to pay any extra fees (that I could tell anywhere). I had to sign paperwork to request the stickers though so I knew they were requesting on my behalf. I also called them a few weeks later and confirmed that they actually sent it.

I also got my car from Ford Store Morgan Hill. Not sure if this is just a coincidence that stickers are missing for both of us.

Edit: @pattycake, I just called up dealership. Salesperson told me that they have my stickers. Could be same for your car as well.
