What if they added things to it to show how they've come to that number like:
-30 - Outside Temp
-20 - Driving history
-10 - Cabin Temperature

If all the numbers add up to what the epa estimate is, would that make people a little more happy to know why it's so low?

That's almost what the MME does in the Trips view.

Yeah, I realize that, but I was thinking something a little more succinct on the main screen might help more. The knee jerk reactions seem to come straight from the GOM.

If the driver's dash screen posted the mi/KWh figure, battery percentage, capacity and updated the range accordingly (even if it bounces up and down -- do it on a per minute interval or something, not realtime data) I think it would help people understand the relationship of all those factors.

Sure, more info is always better. But then again someone asked why their Mach-E wasn't charging above 100% to hit the rated range on this forum so I have my doubts on how well that extra info will be used practically.

On another post, I recall the best reply was, “well it’s not like we have a charge station on every corner like icecars”. So we do need to stay informed without guesswork.
